The outlet is known for exclusive investigations, stories, and interviews with notable newsmakers and cultural figures. Its investigative work, including a widely shared story on late Japanese actor Haruma Miura, has gained international attention. News Tap One’s West Bengal desk, NT Bangla, produces local and national news in Bangla, creating a strong regional presence alongside its global readership. Interns can expect to join a small, dynamic team focused on impactful journalism and storytelling. Role Description As a Content Writing Intern at News Tap One, you will support the editorial team by researching topics, drafting news articles, features, and web stories, and adapting content for the NT Bangla and broader News Tap One audience. You will assist in structuring articles, writing clear and engaging copy, and helping maintain consistency with the platform’s editorial style and standards. Daily tasks include monitoring news trends, fact-checking information, updating existing content, and coordinating with editors on deadlines and revisions. This is an internship role based on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills. • Candidates should possess Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with editors and reporters. • Candidates should possess capabilities in Content Strategy and basic Content Management. • Candidates should possess a keen interest in news, current affairs, and digital journalism. • Candidates should possess proficiency in English; knowledge of Bangla is an advantage. • Candidates should possess attention to detail, fact-checking ability, and a commitment to accuracy and ethical reporting. • Candidates should possess or be pursuing an education in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
